Wired Intercom

Headset connector (XLR 4-pin)

Used to connect a headset for output of the intercom.

Tally signal output connector (φ3.5 mini jack)

Used for output of thr tally signal.

POW ＬＥＤ Power indication LED turns on as follows:

Green : When the power is turned on.

Red : When the voltage of the power supply has dropped.

ＦＤ-4００Ａ connectors (BNC)

Used for connection to other FD-400As

Beltclip Used to fix FD-400A to the belt.

・ Enables to communicate at the same time between all FD-400As connected.

・ Up to ten FD-400As can be connected to by general BNC cables for video signals.

・ Enables to communicate till distance of up to approximately 2 km of the BNC cables connection

extension , in the case of batteries drive.

・ Lightweighting to approximately 270 g in a solid metal body.

・ Enables to operate by two AA batteries.

・ Easy to hear a sound for clear sound quality with equalizer circuit and volume control.

・ Enables to connect to Intercom Station FD-900S.

Instructions

For using FD-400A.

Before operating your FD-400A, please read this manual thoroughly and keep it for future reference.

HEADPHONE Headphone volume control and power switch

Rotating the knob turns on the power and rotating more it

adjusts the headphone volume level.

SIDE TONE/PUSH TALK Side tone volume control and Talk switch

Pressing the knob turns on the microphone to talk and rotating

more it adjusts the volume level of the side tone of the headset.

SYSTEM SELECT Switch

Set to 400A or 300A according to the system connected.

400A : When only the FD-400As are connected.

300A : When any FD-300As are used tigether.

FD-400A can be connected to up to ten and the BNC cable can be connected to total length 1km.

General

Accessories

1. Open the cover of the battery holder of the FD-400A side and charge two size AA battery dry cells.

2. Connect the BNC cables to each FD-400A.

3. Turn a knob of the headphones Volume Control, and the power turns on.

Gradually turn up the headphone volume control knob and adjust it to hear the voice of the communication

partner moderately .

Adjust the SIDE TONE volume control; the volume that own microphone voice returns to own headphones.

※ When FD-300As are mixed and used together, set the SYSTEM SELECT switch of all FD-400A to the 300A position .

※ It is recommended that the power switch is turned off whenever FD-400A is not used so that battery is not worn down idly.
